The Idea

With an estimated global turnover of more than $40 Billion US Dollars, the Dry Cleaning and Laundry service industry in 2016, is still being poorly managed with 20th century methods. Customers around the world are experiencing disappointing customer service and user experience. A parallel could be drawn to the transportation industry before the entry of technology-based startups, such as UBER and GetTaxi, about a decade ago. This brought about a revolution in user experience and customer service, as well as rapid market share gain by new technology companies at the expense of Old Economy service providers.

kVisi was founded to generate the same revolution in additional industries, currently focusing on the vertical of Dry Cleaning and Laundry. The field is in desperate need of better user experience, customer service, accurate deliveries, digital payments and overall simplification. By bringing high technology into this generally low tech environment, kVisi has afforded major improvements in all these areas and very quickly becomes the service of choice.

IP & Technology

kVisi developed its propriety dispatching algorithm as well as its own management and inventory system. The algorithm is a strong part of the company’s IP and it received a vote of confidence on innovation from the Israeli Chief Scientist Tnufa fund. The algorithm is solving a subset of the “traveling sales person” problem. In plain language it allows the users to receive a wide variety of 30 minute slots for pick up and drop off. On the one hand, this fits their own schedule, and on the other hand, it is highly economical for kVisi.

The system includes a server, two native apps (iOS and Android), management and inventory systems, the dispatching algorithm and several external programs assimilated into the complete kVisi system.
