A Revolution in the eCommerce Market: Automatic 3D Content Creation

Verto developed an innovative AI-driven platform that can automatically create 3D visual content based on just a few photos taken by any camera or smartphone. The company's ability to generate high-quality visually accurate content, with an easy-to-use platform, affordable pricing and fast 3D recreation of products—all contribute to an unmatched user experience. Brands and retailers in the eCommerce space can now provide their customers with a 3D view of their products, helping consumers make an educated decision when purchasing products online.

Unique collaborations with Shopify and Google Cloud Partner alongside global commercial activity

Verto has already secured several paying customers in Israel and abroad, including Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren (Ben Dror Group),  WeShoes (importers of Crocs, Hoka, Blundstone, and more), Nina Shoes (an American eCommerce brand), ING (that sells On-Running tennis shoes). The company will launch a Shopify add-on, allowing any virtual store on the leading platform to display its products in 3D form, with a click of a button. Additionally, Verto will receive a "Google Cloud Partner" title—an accomplishment that will provide the company access to numerous brands and retailers around the world, due to joint marketing efforts with Google.

A Comprehensive Visual Solution for eCommerce Platforms, Just a Few Clicks Away

With easy and fast integration that requires just a single code line, Verto provides any eCommerce site with all the visual content it may need, including 3D models, 2D pictures, lifestyle photos, and a 360-degree overlook of products (along with an upcoming virtual try-on feature).

Verto Helps its Customers to Skyrocket their Sales and Reduce Return Rates

Along with the generation of highly accurate 3D content, Verto collects behavioral data on consumers' shopping patterns, which are then translated into business insights. These usually get lost throughout the lengthy supply chain, since there is no real communication between the brand and the end consumer. Thus, retailers can improve their online sales, while significantly reducing their return rates, and brands get complete visibility of their product success all over the world, as well as oversight of global industry trends.

A series of grants from the Israel Innovation Authority and Participation in a Prestigious Accelerator

Verto has won three grants from the Israel Innovation Authority three years in a row, for its automated technology for high-quality, scalable 3D recreation of products. Moreover, the company is a Mamram Accelerator graduate.

The Invention that Enables Businesses to Use 3D Content, Minus the Production Costs

Verto is building an immense 3D file database for photos of footwear by various brands. Retailers can tap into this database and utilize existing images and videos to promote their own personal sales in a dynamic and fast-developing industry, without having to create new ones. This allows for more efficient use of resources by sparing the need for photoshoots, hiring professionals, and using designated equipment while providing consumers with a consistent look and feel across virtual stores.

A Team Made Up of Prestigious Tech Unit Graduates and 3D, AI, and ML Specialists

Verto's team is comprised of algorithm developers, AI, and 3D specialists, including the company's founders Nadav Dadon (CEO) and Didi Dvash (CTO)—the prestigious 510 tech unit graduates, with extensive experience in software development and automation. David Elmakias, an ex-510 software developer, with key positions in complex projects; Itamar Shaviv, AI and ML expert, with a professional history as an AR algorithm developer in 1Vision and Infinity Augmented Reality; along with Vlad Straltsin, a Technion graduate, algorithm developer, and AI expert, with previous roles in R-Go Robotics, Supersmart and Tracense Systems.

The Idea

The digital commerce market is experiencing tremendous growth in recent years, since it provides a quick and convenient shopping experience from the consumer's own home, and offers a wide variety of products in a single channel. Nowadays, different companies are offering their services on online retail platforms, as they try to keep up with global shopping trends.

Today's consumer expects advanced online infrastructure—consumers want to inspect products from all angles, receive unique product highlights and observe the product on models or even try it on themselves virtually. Therefore, businesses are realizing that in order to take part in the competitive eCommerce world, they must create a high-quality shopping experience, that will give consumers confidence in their purchasing choices.

While setting up a virtual store, various solutions already exist on the market that help build the website, market the products, and integrate features such as checkout and payment…However, currently one of the field's main challenges is product visualization that accurately highlights different elements and hotspots. This is one of the only features that are not yet automatic or integrated into other eCommerce platforms, despite its tremendous importance in creating a shopping experience that mimics the one in a physical store. Specifically, studies conducted by Google and Shopify show that product visualization in a 3D format on eCommerce platforms can result in a dramatic increase in conversion rates while reducing return rates—a phenomenon that significantly impacts retailers' profitability.

The Need

When entering a store, we can inspect the desired item from every angle, detect all the fine details and feel it in our hands for as long as we want. Thus, a multi-sensory experience is created, which helps us connect to the product we are about to buy, awarding us with a confidence in our purchase—a feeling that is difficult to recreate in the virtual shopping world.

The three main challenges that e-tailers are currently facing in creating visual content include boosting traffic to retailers' websites and increasing the conversion rate; high-quality visual content generation takes time, which can sometimes outgrow the shelf life of products in the fast-evolving fashion industry; and finally, the return rate of online purchases is exceptionally high, especially in the footwear market (around 40%), versus in-store returns (only 8%).

Leading e-tailers' platforms invest vast resources in high-quality visual content creation that accurately depicts their products, by hiring 3D professionals and using designated equipment. This is a long and expensive process at the end of which, the final product may not necessarily resemble the original item sufficiently.

Furthermore, the eCommerce market in general, and the fashion industry in particular, follow an intricate supply chain, which starts off with brands that create the product that is then transferred to the distributor, finally reaching the retailer, who markets it to the consumer. Retailers that market several brands alongside one another may create their own visual content, without any professional background. Hence, their website presents scattered content with an overall sloppy look. Additionally, this long supply chain does not allow effective communication between brands and retailers, and consequently, brands cannot produce useful business insights—which of their products are global bestsellers, what are the prevailing market consumer trends and where is the industry heading in the near future.

The Solution

Using advanced Generative AI technology (a collection of algorithms that can create new realistic visual content), Verto automatically translates footwear photos (and will branch out to clothing and bags in the near future) taken by any smartphone, into a comprehensive visual content collection. This includes 2D product photos, 3D models, lifestyle photos, and an upcoming virtual try-on feature (Augmented Reality)—which all accurately portray the original product and can be easily and quickly integrated into any eCommerce platform, at minimal production costs. The product photos and 3D files are gathered in the company's proprietary database and are available to be reused by other retailers and brands in their own virtual stores. Verto provides an automatic, convenient, fast, and accessible service—which is expected to dramatically upgrade the virtual shopping experience worldwide.

The Technology

Verto automatically renders photos to 3D files by using advanced AI methodologies. The retailer scans the selected item by following a unique proprietary process and uploads the scanned product to Verto's system, where the digital replication is completed. Next, the file undergoes a quality control check and is then ready for official use. The files are stored in the company's cloud (which includes content depicting products developed by numerous brands over the years) and are made available to all subscribers. The content integration in the eCommerce website is extremely simple and requires the entry of a single line of code to create a complete 3D visual gallery. From just a few ordinary product photos, Verto is able to create an entire visual product library for marketing purposes, including 3D files, lifestyle photos, virtual reality (upcoming), and more.
